Upper School Arts Curriculum
Students must take two years of arts in order to graduate, but they need not follow one specific sequence. Classes in the visual arts, music, drama and dance are among the arts offerings. Courses range from acting to pottery and instrumental music to photography.
The primary aim of the arts curriculum is to provide ongoing exposure to the arts for all students and to enable those who are passionate to hone their skills. As part of a college preparatory high school, the MMFS art program provides a high level of training so that students who wish to can create portfolios and apply to competitive post-secondary arts schools.
