Mary McDowell Teaching and Learning Center
Since the inception of the Mary McDowell Center for Learning in 1984, one of the goals of the Center has been to serve as a community resource providing information about learning disabilities. In 2001, the Center's Outreach Program, now called the Mary McDowell Teaching and Learning Center (MMTLC), expanded its role in the community by providing professional development services to programs throughout the metropolitan area to reach as many children as possible.

MMTLC's Mission is to provide support and training to educators, parents, and children to help give as many children as possible the opportunity to be successful learners. Two of our longstanding programs are the Prominent Speakers Forum, for parents and professionals, and Adventures in Math and Science which offers a fun-filled day for children and parents in the NYC area. MMTLC now offers workshops at the Center as well as provides on-site programming and consulting for schools and community organizations.
